Margi Typeface

Enzo Margi is a footwear manufacturer from Cluj-Napoca, Romania with over 30 years of experience working for brands such as Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Prada, and more.

They reached me with a fresh new logo but not much else. Besides working on an overall branding strategy, packaging and distribution options we decided that a custom display font branching from the shapes of their logo would be an excellent addition to the brand.

The result is a neo-gothic display typeface rooted in the traditional typefaces of the region that looks great in fresh, vibrant colors, accompanied by lively and dynamic imagery.
